Leadership Carroll County
The goal of Leadership Carroll County is to foster leadership qualities in its participants through education on people, places, and events around the entire county, encouraging direct involvement within their own community. Throughout the program, there will be opportunities to visit several Carroll County sites relevant to that session's focus.
The LCC program generally consists of nine sessions, beginning in August and ending prior to Thanksgiving; each session generally runs from 11 AM to 5 PM.
Topics covered in program sessions include:
- Demographics
- Current local issues
- Health care
- Retail
- Education
- Economic development
The Carroll County Chamber of Commerce first established the Leadership Carroll County program in 1990. Since then, there have been almost 1,000 graduates from LCC and YLCC.
